So, the Medieval Hunt came round again. The theme? Salem!

So I hopped on my broom and went hunting. The featured image shows me wearing a dress you get with hair and a cabin.

So I went out in the front yard and decided to dig up some relatives while wearing yet another gown I got from the hunt. Pop wasn’t thrilled with being dug up, but I missed him.

I then decided to take the new writing desk I got on the hunt and change into something a bit more comfortable (also a hunt gift) and do some work. It was a bit dark, but the lantern I found on my journey gave just the perfect amount of light.

I decided to get dressed up in this gorgeous gown and wait by this lovely tree (another hunt gift) as I waited for my fellow witches to come.

They were late, so I ran inside to put on my robes, but when I came outside, I found someone had put stocks in my yard! (another hunt gift)

I quickly ran inside and hid my robes, putting on the most innocent dress I found on the hunt. I came back out to find this pyre and a table with the bobbing for apples game. Looks like my fellow witches have a sick sense of humor.

Sorry I haven’t been around, me and the RL got into a huge fight and split. Broken heart, tears, ice cream, you get the gist.

But enough about me, I popped in world to check messages and saw the Twisted Hunt was going on. It took three days but I managed to get 98% of it done. The other 2%? Meh, stores I’m not fond of so I skipped them. On to the pictures!!

Here we have the skybox I’m in, the fan in my one hand, the blade in my other hand, the outfit I’m wearing and the necklace.

Next is the temple I’m in, the little Ying/Yang thing I’m meditating on and once again, the outfit.

Here is the picture on the wall, the collage behind me, the couch, the cushion I’m on with the candles and plants and the dress I’m wearing.

Now we have this really cool bed, the picture on the wall, the fortune teller machine next to me and of course, the outfit I have on.

Yet again, the outfit I’m wearing is a gift as well as the fountain I’m sitting on and the fire pit next to me.

Here is a skybox you get. It’s beautiful with the windows, fire place and rug that are all part of it. The wall decor, tree table and two chairs are separate gifts, as is, yup, you guessed it! The outfit I have on.

Still in the skybox we have the table and benches in the corner.

Pictured here is yet another skybox! Even though I didn’t get a picture of it all, it’s a huge skybox with a two story house in it. The couch and chair are separate gifts and I got this cute little maid outfit!

Then there is this lovely little ruin set.

We then have this little grave with the bent tree and the mausoleum.

I furnished the mausoleum with a fireplace, picture, table, ottoman and rug set, all that you get in the hunt. Also gifted are the dress I’m wearing, the shoes, the glowy mask and the teddy I’m holding!

Yet another outfit and this worship area.

Still another gown and an alter for all you pagan’s out there.

I wish I could say I pictured everything, but I didn’t. There were just too many items, 106 stops on this hunt.

The Grave

So I spent a busy morning cleaning out a storage unit and after, while I was relaxing and unwinding, I decided to peek at the hunts going on. I saw some things from various hunts I wanted and decided to share.

First is from the Get To Know Us: Greek Creators hunt. It’s a lovely little cemetery!

Also from the Get To Know Us hunt is this gazebo! Spooky yet beautiful.

From the Best Foot Forward hunt is this shoe house! It comes with the yard and tree. For a shoe house it’s rather nice and cozy!

This Coffin from the Get To Know Us, comes with a nice spooky animation where you climb in and lay down amoungst particle bats.

From the same hunt is this large fireplace and gargoyle statue! With all the spooky decor, I needed a spooky dress! I found one at Maai, in there lucky chair!

Historial Hunts

So I finally finished the Hunt I spoke of in previous posts HERE.

Overall, I wasn’t really impressed, but there were a few goodies I kept.

Here we have a lamp, side table, screen, chest, the dress I’m wearing, that mask and the background…er…wall… The wall confused me as I thought it was a building. Something that’s going to get deleted but proved a useful backdrop for the pictures.

Here is a table set, another dress and the necklace I’m wearing.

And still another dress. This one’s pretty neat, and I’ll keep it because of the lack of gowns like this in SL, but I don’t see much use for it. lol. I’m such a pack rat.

The Renaissance Hunte

So, despite the business of my life right now, what with moving and all that, I still found time to do a hunt with the family. My sister hit me up telling me Historical Hunts had their Renaissance Hunt going on, so I was all over it. We got through some of it, but it’s got 74 stops, so we’re doing it in bits. I did unpack and take pictures of some of the prizes from the first 25, though.

The screen, chase, rug and scrolls are all one gift, the rug I’m sitting on is another, the chase next to me is yet another and the vase is still another gift.

Here we have an infirmery bed, a scribes desk, a banner, a planter and a cute little guinnea pig pet that roams around and eats and poops. It’s really cute. Excuse my thrown about decorating.

B/F: Quite the mess you have left on the front lawn.

Me: I’z gettin it, I’z gettin it.

B/F smacks Buns ass.

These items are in the previous picture but because they’re so small, they’re not easily seen. We have a little decorative plaque and a music box that plays actual music when you click it.

A Mad Pea?

So it was the R/L’s b-day friday and to make it extra special, we made it a weekend thing. (he hasn’t had a lot of nice b-days because his family is a bunch of jerks.) So me and my sissy threw him a party, decorated the house, got him gifts and just otherwise sought to do stuff that was fun. One of those things, was a MadPea Hunt. If you’ve never done one before, they’re really neat. It’s a HUD based hunt with a story line. In this one, you’re the benefactor of your deceased grandfather’s estate, but that estate (and your inheritance) comes with a mystery that took place over 100 years ago, when a woman sought revenge on her lover after he used her while he was planning an engagement to a more elite bride. You hop around the grid gathering the pieces of the puzzle.

All in all, the story was really good and the HUD wasn’t too hard to use. The downside? Some of the clues were obscure and made it very difficult. The starting point was also REALLY laggy. I derendered everyone there just to be able to get through it. Some things used to fill the town didn’t need to be mesh and would have cut back on lag if they were just simple prim.

Another Downside? The hunt cost money. To do the basic story, without prizes, is 100L. To get prizes, you spend 300L for the silver pack and 800L for the gold pack which comes with the silver and the gold prizes. We went for broke and did the gold. I know this sounds like a lot of money, but for everything you get, you’d easily spend 10,000L, so it is worth it. I’ll showcase the silver prizes first, then the gold ones.

The Silver Prizes:

First we have an antique case, a harp, a statue, a boars head trophy. As well as the jacket I’m wearing, and the tongue press in my mouth. I didn’t get a very good picture of it, but it is cool looking.

Next we have this piano. It comes with the rug, which is resizable and a candle, which my big head is blocking and I didn’t realize until I went to crop the pick. Damn.

You also get this cute little boat! If you put it in water, you can actually control it and it’s got tons of poses for multiple people! Row Row Row Your Boat!

B/F snorts and rolls his eyes.

Me: Oh hush!

B/F arches eye brow.

Me: oops. hehe! Annnywaaaaay, Not depicted are a tattoo and a sign. I didn’t care for the tattoo, it is nice, just didn’t care for it and the sign I had trouble getting it to show right. I think it’s supposed to light up, I just couldn’t figure out how to do that. I’m getting the B/F to tinker with it and find the script since he’s a builder and scripter. If and when he does, I’ll update.

Now onto the Gold Prizes!!!

Here we see an plate display case, a mini organ, a fire hydrant table that comes in three colors, a gramophone, a table and chair set, and a pedestal displaying an egg.

Here is a creepy mannequin. It’s not overly large or small, it goes about to my ribs and is a nice touch for any room that needs clutter.

We also have this library seat and table set. It comes with two different versions. The regular one and the more cluttered one with some of the quest items on it. It’s really cool and totally going in the library.

We have here, another boat! And yes, you can use this one in the water, too. And since I didn’t touch on it, I’m wearing some of the gifts. The mask, the dress and the arm tattoo are all part of it!

And last, but not least, this boat house! It’s really a cool build and I can’t wait to put it out! i love it!

The only thing not depicted here was a cord necklace. Well, I wore it, but forgot the mask covered it up until editing. Tee Hee. Sorry. i was eager for the B/F to get home and I was rushing.

The MadPea Hunt can be found HERE for info and HERE for the starting point.

So last night I was up super late with the RL. He fell and smacked his head and we were afraid he had a concussion. To keep ourselves awake we were playing games, talking about child hood and shopping. On my travels trying to fight the sandman, I ran across some really cute things and figured I’d share.

First stop is LUAS. I love their store for fantasy clothes. You have to join the group to get the two group gifts and play the four Lucky boards, but the group is FREE Join! LUAS can be found HERE

So in my haze of sleeplessness, I decided to plan a dinner party for the family. Why not, right? The perfect dress was a must of course so I tried on this one I found at Crystal Clothing Co. It’s a FREE Subscriber gift. It can be found HERE

Well I decided the blue dress wasn’t appropriate for the family and the kind of guests we have over and changed. I used the Group gifts I got from D!va. This hair and dress are both part of the gifts. The hair has a color change HUD and different attachments for different looks and the Dress is just gorgeous. Both gifts require the group to get, but the group is FREE Join, so…who cares?! D!va sim is HERE

More From Midsummer!

Hey guys! Sorry for the delay, RL kicked my ass! But life is calm again, so here’s more from the Midsummer Night’s Dream hunt!

Here we have a Mother Earth Outfit, complete with wand and crown, very pretty, but sadly, no appliers. I’ve said it before, lazy! Omega’s a dead easy kit to use, no excuse! Aside from that, we have this really nice vase from one of my absolute favorite stores, Never Totally Dead. The best thing about this vase? It’s great for pranks. When someone walks by it, it falls to the ground and breaks. Be warned though, it works for anything that moves. My KittyCat’s kept running into it and breaking it until I moved it out of their range.

Here we have a cute little boat, some lily pads, and behind me, a photo frame! I took this on my own land to make set up easier.

I am wearing another fairy gift you get. I really don’t care much for the fairy look to be honest, but my sister does, so I sent her over to get them. She was thrilled. The wings are two large flowers and very highly detailed. The outfit comes with multiple parts and is all mesh, also lovely.

Here we have two simple little tattoo’s. A dragon on my shoulder and a fairy on my hip, both with appliers, really cute little things for those who don’t need a whole massive tattoo.

Once again, all very nice stuff. If fantasy is your thing, I highly recommend this hunt. The link page can be found HERE

Midsummer Night’s Dream

Did you guys really think I would be able to pass up this hunt? I’ve done at least some of it, every year, ever since it came out. Generally I just run a pick up the things from my favorite stores because…well….I have enough of an inventory problem…

I’m show casing a few of the most spectacular items you get, not that all the prizes aren’t great, but I’m a bit on the sick side and having to fight my comp with my graphics cranked up isn’t something I’m keen on right now, sorry guys.

Here we have a gorgeous build, this whole stone thing is part of one prize and in my opinion, one of those weird must haves. Never know when you need ruins and these are stunning!

Here is another prize, a beautiful wooden swing with lights as well as the tattoo I’m wearing. I love this tattoo and it quickly became my main tattoo for everyday.

Yet another set of ruins. This one is more clean cut but no less imposing. Forgive the crappy picture, SL wasn’t letting me get the angle right to showcase it, my camera kept jumping. That and it’s massive size just didn’t end well.

Here we have an unclose of the temple’s interior, a spell table you get which is perfect for all you sorcerer’s and witches out there. The dress and heels are yet another gift and very pretty.

On a side note, the Hair I’m wearing is a free gift from Little Bones! If you need hair, I highly recommend them. It’s $100L to join the group, but for all that you get a new hair each month with a HUD and periodically she includes fatpacks! On top of all that, you get to pick up all the past group gifts! I mean, for $100L you can really fill your hair folder!

Midsummer Night’s Dream Hunt can be found HERE and is $1L

The Lost Letter’s Hunt

So, I rarely do HUD based hunts. Mostly because the price of the HUD in such hunts tends to border on stupid. But the Dandelion DayDreams Factory tends to have very cool hunts with original stories and cool prizes, so I always take a peak at what they have going on. Best part? It’s always FREE.

The hunt going on now is the Lost Letter’s Hunt. Basically some thief has stoned all the letter’s from a magical library.
You are tasked with recovering them and six magical books. The hud is simple and low script. You find the book’s, clicks them and they are registered in your HUD as being gotten. You then search the surrounding Area for six letter’s masked as objects pertaining to the theme of whatever book you find. One is Ducks, one is frogs, one is Runes, one is tarot, one is herbs and one is stones.
Overall it wasn’t too difficult and kept me entertained for a good couple of hours. Once you acquire all the books, you’re given a SLURL to the prize point. All those letter’s you found? Hope you wrote them down or note carded them, you need to enter them into a board corresponding with each book.
You then have a last riddle to solve. A Hermit gives you a NC with a riddle and you punch the answer in to another board and Vola! Seven neat prizes!

Here we have a chair, shelf set, plant, rack of potions, staff and ducks. The ducks are really cool. They have stationary ones and ones that will swim around in whatever water you place them in. There is also a tarot typer, which is neat.

I am wearing the other prizes. We have this hat, the forehead and hand gems and the necklace. Incase you can’t tell from my horrible picture, the necklace is the golden ball from The Frog Prince fairy tale.

The Lost Letter’s Hunt is HERE.

Make sure to read the Notecards and instructions!
